Because of COVID, our foot care project has sadly been on hold for a few years. We look forward to the time when we can safely restart it!
In the past, Holy Wisdom community members have provided foot care to people without housing at Drexel House and the Interfaith Shelter. Our Washington Clippers, as they are affectionately known, also traveled each year to Los Angeles to offer foot care to homeless people on Skid Row as well as to train the Catholic Workers there in foot care techniques. The Holy Wisdom community has offered support to our foot care ministers with donations of money and supplies. We have also collected men’s and women’s socks at each mass that were distributed in Olympia. For more information, please fill out our contact form.
Here’s a detailed reflection on the most recent trip to Los Angeles. And here is an older article about the Clippers’ work that appeared in the Catholic Agitator.
